An Air India flight from Delhi to Chicago was redirected to Iqaluit, Canada, on Tuesday due to a bomb threat. The flight had to make an emergency landing after authorities were warned about the threat.

An airline official confirmed that “Air India flight AI127, flying from Delhi to Chicago on October 15, faced an online security threat. As a precaution, it landed at Iqaluit airport in Canada,” according to an statement.

“The plane and passengers are being checked again following security procedures. Air India has brought in staff at the airport to help the passengers until they can continue their journey,” the airline stated.
